The Sony E3 2013 press conference aired Monday, June 10th at 6PM. The PlayStation 4 console was shown for the first time at this conference, and its price, $399 in the US ($100 less than the Xbox One) was announced. The PlayStation 4 "used games strategy" was also discussed, and Sony announced there would be no DRM or protection on used PS4 games. They can be traded freely and played after purchase. Sony also announced that the PlayStation Plus subscription membership is now required for online gaming.

Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony traditionally hold large press conferences before the E3 conference begins.
The Microsoft E3 press conference aired on Monday, June 10th at 9:30AM. Microsoft announced that the Xbox One would launch in November 2013 and cost $499 in the US. They also announced the end of Microsoft Points, which have been replaced by actual currency. Microsoft also announced a redesigned Xbox 360, available in stores immediately, which looks similar to the Xbox One.

NINTENDO
Nintendo did not hold a major press conference at E3 2013. Instead, pre-recorded Nintendo Direct broadcasts were issued during E3 according to a set schedule -- and a short press-only live event occured on Tuesday, June 11th at 10AM.
The Nintendo Direct announced several major first-party games.
